"To curse the faith when wronged by it is like saying prayers when blessed by [them]." - Levantine proverbJust real quick...got a sad friend, a depressed friend, a lonely friend...and my Bishop to contend with...but I was always taught, most properly, that I should always mind my P's & Q's.
I never figured out what P's & Q's meant until my Minister told me to think very hard before I make the most serious decision of my life: Making my confirmation to the Church. "Mind your PROMISES AND Questions..." Promises I make...and mind what I question...just what I'm thinking about...just remembering today. After all, I was already sure, God is real.

This Good Morning, I woke - way before Sunrise. Spent time thinking, about business and life and religion and friends... God said: "Good Girl, Your Way is ALMOST 'My Way,' too. But you're only a Human Being...you have a LITTLE imperfection!"
Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth, upon this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that "all men are created equal" Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived, and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of it, as a final resting place for those who died here, that the nation might live. This we may, in all propriety do. But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate—we can not consecrate—we can not hallow, this ground—The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have hallowed it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here; while it can never forget what they did here. It is rather for us, the living, to stand here, we here be dedicated to the great task remaining before us—that, from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here, gave the last full measure of devotion—that we here highly resolve these dead shall not have died in vain; that the nation, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people by the people for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
It was famous H.G. Wells, English Writer, who said: "Cynicism is humor in ILL health."
Good almost SUNRISE, Pooper Scoopers! The Earth didn't explode last night and I had a good night's rest WITHOUT any nightmares. So, I look at my "Famous Quotes" desk calendar and see today's quote as I move into a BRANDY NEW DAY!!! Another Day of LIFE God granted me! And it's Saturn-Day! Music Appreciation and Art and Play day! But, I RECEIVED ANOTHER PAYCHECK IN THE MAIL YESTERDAY! A Hundred Bucks! Gotta run to the BANK and DEPOSIT it! Wanna SHOP, maybe a little extra this month, at the Corner of HAPPY & Healthy (my corner Walgreens). Also need some medical stuff and sanitation stuff and there's some Sales on GOOD FOOD stuffs...gotta watch my BUDGET. $35 dollar FEE if I mis-time or abuse my BANK and overdraft my DEBIT CARD! Also need an EMERGENCY reserve...and got a DENTIST appointment, coming next week: Gotta pay CASH...I don't QUALIFY for any insurance. But the DMD has a PAYMENT PLAN...back to my MONTHLY BUDGET of my BREAD AND BUTTER MONEY (my Social Security Retirement Income). And, don't forget my second-in-my-lifetime TV that Monty APPROVED(!), provided I make a MONTHLY PAYMENT! Finances...glad I learned that when I was a kid and had to budget my allowance, which I received in an amount that fluctuated, depending on what chores I did around the house...a nickel for washing dinner dishes...a dime to dry and put away...a dime for taking out the garbage all week with an extra nickel for putting the garbage cans out for the Garbage Man...it was like that. I had ENVELOPES! I was pretty advanced in my budgeting....I didn't buy candy and garbage, I saved up for Dollar Toys, or Cool School Supplies and one year I even opened a CHRISTMAS CLUB ACCOUNT at my City Savings...got a pretty, chrystal platter to serve cookies to my dolls for doing that! Ugh. Life gets so complicated once you grow up!
So, today's quote was said by a man who was PROBABLY wise and smart, or his quote would not be quotable. It was Claude MacDonald (related to Old McDonald, the farmer? or maybe RONALD MC DONALD?). He was a 19th-century British Diplomat who said: "Opportunities are seldom labeled." That is true, I think, too. But in the United States of America you must be CONSCIOUS of the Law...and in God's Universe, you had best MIND natural and physical laws at the same time! Eh, Witchy Woos? I went to Sunday School...and I MINDED my lessons! HAVE A GOD-SPEED DAY! A creole Voodoo practitioner once said:
As Sundown reflects the Silent Solemn of the impending night, a pause...
